Florida Central at Kaley Yard

Here's the Florida Central Railroad moving a manifest out of the old Kaley Yard in Orlando, Florida. GP7 number 55 is leading, and high-hood GP18 number 59 is on the back, idling. I don't know what kind of horn is on the 55, but I like it. My best guess would be a Nathan K3LA. The 59 seems to have been the target of a recent graffiti artist. It's amazing how dirty she's become in just over a year of service, but it shows that she's working hard! Kaley Yard was abandoned (as a yard) in the 1980's and its jobs were taken over by the current CSX Taft Yard along Orange Avenue. Video shot on February 25, 2011. NOTE: This is the first video I have uploaded that was shot with my newest camera, a Kodak EasyShare Z981. I love this camera--it's got a 26x optical zoom! The only thing I DON'T like about it is its microphone--I have lost the ability to capture those nice low, bass tones that all my other Kodak cameras could, so it will be much harder to hear locomotive engines in my videos now, unfortunately.
